What is a chargeback | Vision2 Help Center
What is a chargeback What does a payment status of chargeback mean in Vision2
Any time we have:
-
an invalid check
-
An invalid account number and routing number for an ACH transaction
-
An NSF check
-
A fraudulent check
-
When someone disputes a transaction with their bank
A chargeback will occur.
A chargeback for an ACH or check transaction for an invalid checking account or routing number will not be seen by the donor in their account.
A chargeback for a check transaction may cause the donor's bank to assess fees on their account but the original donation will not be moved from their account to Vision2.
In the case of a credit card chargeback, the funds are actually taken from your next settlement and returned to the donor per the bank's instructions.
